Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Bodens kommun!

The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues that concern our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School and food supply, as well as fulfilling tasks for the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, high schools, and adapted high schools.

The School Development Center consists of the areas of operational development, student health, and the learning of newly arrived students. Together, we focus on constantly improving the operations.

The Central Reception for Newly Arrived, CMN, has the task of receiving and conducting an initial mapping of newly arrived children and students' learning. CMN also has coordination responsibility for mother tongue instruction and study guidance, as well as introduction classes for newly arrived students in grades 1-9.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a Mother Tongue Teacher/Study Guide in our Introduction Class at Sanden for newly arrived students. Examples of tasks include picking up and dropping off at the bus stop, break activities, supporting students in lessons, assisting students with digital resources in MS365, and being generally helpful to students and educators. Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your tasks. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions at the workplace. The position is a temporary employment of 50-55% in the mornings during the spring term of 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you are a certified teacher with a Swedish teaching degree or that you have a documented foreign teacher education. If you lack teacher education but can demonstrate that you have another suitable university education, that may suffice or other relevant qualifications. You have very good knowledge of Swedish equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a second language 3 or Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B.

It is advantageous if you have work experience from the Swedish school system and are familiar with the Education Act and curricula for the various school forms. We therefore expect you to share this value base and can realize it in words and actions. It is also advantageous if you have digital skills in MS365.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and are independent.

The employment is temporary for the spring term of 2026 and 50-55%
